Calling all scouts!
June 20th-22nd, 2007
Boy and Girl Scouts and their immediate families are invited to come spend the weekend on the river, helping to clean up any trash left over from last season, for a chance to earn merit badges while participating in a rewarding act of community service.
We can use troops on foot to cover bank areas, as well as in boats for areas accessible by canoe. Campers will arrive on Friday, the 20th, clean up on Saturday, have a big group campfire on Saturday night, and leave on Sunday, the 22nd.
Bring food and camping equipment. Local liveries will provide canoes and shuttles, and Swan’s Falls, Fiddlehead, Saco Bound, and Woodland Acres will provide campsites to Scout troops and families.
